After ending last season on a sour note by getting fired from the set of a movie and taking his gang back to Queens to regroup, Vincent Chase and his Entourage are back in sunny LA for Season Six. In the season premiere, which aired Sunday night on HBO, Vince gets a call from Martin Scorcese to play the lead role in "Gatsby," and just like that, things are lookin' up again. With Vince finally getting his license, Turtle rekindling his love spark, and E thinking of moving into his own pad, there's plenty to look forward to. LivingSocial user Abhishek K. calls Entourage one of the best TV series ever made.” Newcomer to the show, Kris H., thinks the premiere was pretty funny, and likes that “after watching one episode you can kind of figure out what is going on.” We like that too, Kris - complicated drama hurts our heads...
In its second season, True Blood aired this past Sunday with lots of (you guessed it!) sex, blood, and drama. With Bill, Sookie, and Jessica heading to Dallas on a special mission, Tara is left alone and crying on her birthday (again) but perks up when Maryann, Eggs, and Karl throw her a surprise party for her birthday and things get hot between her and Eggs. Sam and Daphne are also seen kissing in the kitchen. That's bloody hot stuff! Taylor C. writes that with with all the vampire tales out there, “it’s good to see a good one in the mix.” We're betting Tanya agrees, since she “watched the complete first season in 2 days!” This begs the question, Tanya, do you sleep are you one of them?
New on the horizon is Hung, which premiered Sunday June 30th. High school basketball coach Ray Drecker finds himself struggling with a midlife crisis after his wife leaves him and his house catches fire. Beginning to feel the financial crunch, he sets out to find a new, albeit unusual, way to help make some extra cash. He meets a woman who convinces him to render his services in the bedroom for a fee to willing participants, and thus a male gigolo is born. Tim says that Hung is “off to a good start with the premiere” and senses it “could be another addictive HBO series, pointing out that "it was clearly developed to compete with Showtime's Weeds," so add this to your tv repertoire, Weeds fans...we at LivingSocial definitely are! And don't forget to tell us what you think about these, and other HBO shows you watch on the regular, at Living Social: TV Shows!
